I started as a background designer at the beginning of season 2, and quickly took on the role of Compositing Supervisor, leading a team of 12 comp artists between the UK and Germany.
It was an incredibly formative job: the deliveries were huge (around 150 shots per episode), the schedule was tight (one episode a week!), and the look of the show was... unique and challenging, with it's mix of techniques.
At the end of Season 2, the show's creator and showrunner, Ben Bocquelet, kindly offered me to do a trial as a scriptwriter. I did of course, and I was subsequantly hired as part of the writing team for 3 seasons, until I pitched my own project, "Elliott from Earth" (more on that here).
