I had the great privilege to co-direct this piece for the luxury brand Diptyque, thanks again to the one and only Ugo Gattoni.
Ugo was approached by Diptyque to design their Winter 2020 candles, and with this, to produce an animated film to promote it. Ugo got me involved, and as usual, we got the chance to work with some incredibly talented folks to deliver.
As well as supervising the production and handling the compositing, I was in charge of taking Ugo's backgrounds and giving them a more cinematic look. This part of the process felt like a necessary step to fill the gap between his illustrative style and our filmic approach. I love the result of our collaboration on that regard.
